i put in the mcxpress last year, and had a hell of a time clutching it ,,had to try diff, ramps, springs weights ,but have it close now the weights were a little light and i was hitting the rev limiter even at 9000'not good with 14 lbs of boost, but my set up is a hindle pipe ,manual boost controller ,custom made air snorkle made out of checker plate alum.it comes straight off the turbo and into a box then comes straight back parallel to the exhaust also in the box i put in a curved piece of alum to help with the air flow ,and with a k&n airfilter even with the airfilter out back in some snow conditions you will get a small film of ice on your prefilter you might have to melt off with your hand.now that the clutching is close i went with the adjustable weights just to fine tune.also with your install you might find it hard to start in cold conditions?? still don
't know how to fix that one, i tryed a new battery , sync the carbs.so for now i am just going to put a coolent heater on it cause after its been running its fine.and this year i will be useing the same front air shocks as the fx or gt.220 lb guy on a 180lb guy machine..hope this helps a little..

k thanks for the reply, i think to start i will move air filter out, and different exhaust. i think my biggest problem will be clutching it, the kit im looking at doesnt have the mcx wieghts with it(hopin the deal on the used one pans out), would that be something good to order and start with or just go with something not from mcx. i like to think i will only run around 12lbs of boost, but that probably wont last long. just knida currious if anyone has a picture of the complete kit spread out so i can compare it to the one im lookin at.
oh yeah was gonna ask do u have a 07 or 08 or do both have trouble starting when turbo'd cause my 08 starts awesome but i know 07 had some problems.

I have the air filter kit form Vernon Motorsports and it is awsome. You will also want to ditch the MC-X muffler first thing. I put 9 tooth drivers in my sled with the stock gearing.

Go to Phazer General Talk and look for MC-X air fliter upgrade there is a pic of the kit installed there. It comes with everything you need including a heat shield between the filter and muffler. The only draw back is that I am pretty sure it will not work with the MC-X muffler which was no problem for me as I had replaced that already.

I'm running a Pro-Comp Ultra-lite Vacuum/Boost 30/20 by AutoMeter. It's small and light weight and looks and works great. I believe the model number is 4301.
On clutching I went to a standard yamaha secondary. Mine was off a 700 MMax with the splines machined to fit the Phazer shaft. I'm running adjustable primary weights and an adjustable angle secondary ramp. I own my own shop and I'm not sure if I can mention it on the site (don't want my post to disappear), but you can pm me and I can tell you more about the parts and how to get them.
