When looking for a turbo we all get it down to 2 but then it is hard. so lets make it easy and pick 2. pick the 2 you feel best fit the viper. install, power, cost, reliability, and service are all factors to consider. For turboed guys if you did it all over again would you chose different?

hurricane and evo would be for me. evo is the closest and they have a flash to raise rpm, but the service and info from hurricane is second to none. if i didn't have a kit it would be a tough choice.

Honestly this is like Ford vs Chevy to me and in the end will just be a poll of opinion

What a great poll, hopefully this don't turn into a turbo bashing poll becasue there is a lot of great choices out there with good company's. I voted for MPI becasue we own 2 trail turbo kits and they are perfect for what we need. We have no plans to add more power and WOW what a difference after adding the turbos they perfect. They have been turn the key and go since installed and zero problems. We liked the quality, fit and finish and cost of the kit. I like the fact that MPI has tested with Yamaha and spent the time and money to get the federal EPA testing done. I've heard the stories on how they torture test these sleds and try to break stuff so we don't and I was very impressed. MPI has outstanding customer service they are easy to get a hold of if you have a question. Any time I have needed something or had a question they go the extra mile every time. Our trail kits were shipped before the air/oil separator bypass was developed by MPI after a quick email asking them for help on what I can do about dumping oil ( N/A sleds do this also ) The owner Mac called me on his cell phone letting me know they were working on a fix and currently testing it, he went on to tell me the bypass kits will ship in a few days and if I needed anything call his cell phone back , wow I didn't expect that. Hats off to MPI, they went above and beyond. We are VERY happy with our choice and no regrets, I would choose MPI again.

I was very surprised....even stunned at how well the MPI works at high altitude. The EABC boosts it to 8 pounds instead of 4.5 and puts it on par for the other vendors 220hp versions up here in the high country. For budget Turbo MPI is my pick no question about it for me. Sneaky fast you never feel boost kick in.
The EVO though is simply amazing. Get a look at one of these if you get the chance, I think you will be impressed. I thought I would just use the 210hp setting but after about an hour of riding it was on the 275hp setting and stayed....too much fun! Skis in the air at 70mph...lol. BEST PART about EVO is the electronics, GET ON AND RIDE! No screwing around with GEMS or even worse packing a computer to set fuel maps. We have had closed loop systems forever it seems on cars why are we messing with maps on sleds?
From an engineering viewpoint several other turbos were not considered by me, but the reasons and names will remain unnamed as I do not wish to bash anybody's product.

Great idea! I choose hurricane for my number one pick. reasons i chose it-pcv, can run on 87 if i have to with no problems, very simple install plug and play, excellent customer service. and the biggest reason the spring sale that brought it into my price range!
Second pic would have to be EVO just because i like what they offer with there kit.
if i were to do it again would i choose differently? absolutely not! after my install i do not see the need for how much more the other turbos have you do IMHO. After the 20 miles i have put on it around the yard i can not believe the throttle response, instantaneous boost. The kit came right on for afr/boost in the 10s on wot and upper 5s for boost on a very short pull.
My Permanent grin is even bigger!

thats why i said pick 2. no matter what kit you have, you vote for one you don't have. every pole is opinions, based on what you have or info you read. obviously one will be the kit you have, but the other one will be a kit you don't. this should get a better average of what people think is the best two turbo kits for the viper.

I know and I voted. I went MPI and hurricane if it matters. Even with my recent Intercooler issue with MPI it's still a good kit. I guess that's my point more than anything, they're all good. Anyway carry on. Mines the best...lol
