Turbo smart BOV

I sprayed every clamp on it. Nothing for leaks. This BOV leaks like crazy. Even at 10 pounds. I can try tightening the top but I’m guessing it’s junk. Not sure what’s going on but this is NOT the first I have heard on this valve. It does not have a great reputation. Guessing most don’t even test them for leaking. They buy it and think well TD and Hurricane sell them they must be good right.

Sounds like a bad one...can you return? I like what tommcat offers, but $300+?

Interesting, I've never had leaks like that on mine. Doesn't seem right. Were is it leaking from? Looks to be coming from everywhere.

I tighten all the parts though too. Usually the banjo bolt is loose along with the threaded connections that thread into the body of the unit.

It was leaking from the top seam. Where are we tightening this thing? And why if its brand new would it need to be tightened? Poor manufacturing. Inkedupgraded-blow-off-valve-yamaha-sidewinder-arctic-cat_LI.jpg

Respons might be on the pricey side , but it’s a quality piece that works well.

Going to try and tighten it I guess. Otherwise Im going with the one I posted above.. Made in USA and the company has a good rep.

All three joints and the top banjo bolt. They are not tight from the factory. Take it apart and check all the 0-rings too, maybe some debris is keeping the o-rings from sealing. Prolly made in China or Taiwan so I've never seen one come thru with any of the nipples or joints tight ever. (The nipples also screw into the body as they are made in different sizes). Just like the Cat/Yamaha sled were putting them on, you need to go thru the aftermarket parts to perfect them too.

Once you get it sealed up it will be just fine and is actually a good piece.

Looks like I am cheaper to buy it direct. However I have zero idea how to set it up lol
