Running an aftermarket bov/recirculation valve, is Any one getting a Lot of turbo surge?
Turbo smart kompact,td power trail cai, and I am getting quit a bit of surge. Changed to the soft spring in the kompact. This did not make a difference. Is this common?

Why do you think its Turbo surge? Is it just the BRV releasing the pressure you are hearing?
You wouln't really hear it with the stock airbox, but with a CAI, I can hear it too, but just sounds like a muffled bov sound, because the air is routed back into the air intake hose instead of the atmosphere.

Compressor surge. Is the word I guess I was looking for. I can hear it blow off under hard throttle and release. However any low boost or light throttle I get a Lot of surge or fluttering. To me it sounds like the excess air is going back into the compressor instead of being released.

Sound just like this. Which if I heard on something else with I turbo I would say is compressor surge. Excesses boost going back into the compressor instead of being released.
Just not sure if sidewinder is different?
