TY March Muni Ride!!

What days is everyone riding or what is the plan? Looks like Fri at 10. What about Sat? My brother, another guy and I will be heading up there Fri and staying til Tue. We could leave earlier on Fri if that is the group riding day. Anything else planned?

OK I'M IN!!!!!

My MN snow and family bailed on me =>I called comfort INN spoke to Angela and Have a room and will be there.

Plan is to drive Thursday night to cabin, get trailer then Friday AM drive to Munising. MapQuest says 5.5 hrs..............what time do you leave Friday am? May have to drive across Wisconsin late Thursday and stay part way to Munising get up early and meet the TY "trail group" . Any chance of meeting at the noon meal? Anyone know where that might be?

Hope to see some familiar faces...........I am getting pumped. I was to be hosting a MN family event and was going to have to miss this again, but not NOW.

I think I'm jinxing you folks. Bought new sleds poor snow in WI. All of Clark County opened except the trails that we are on. Tried to make one last run in Hazelhurst Saturday. Trails OK, but faded fast.

Now Munising gets a week of 40+ and sunny.

Thinking I might be better off cancelling trip and tapping trees cause it sure looks like they'll be running.

Call it superstition, paranoya, karma, or whatever, but it's not looking good for us. A sudden death in the family has us up in the air and bordering on highly unlikely. About the only way this will fly is if there is a wish of no service, or if it gets put on Saturday or later and nobody needs any help prior.

Sorry to hear of your loss, totally understandable. I was looking forward to meeting you.
Have a safe trip supporting the family.

Well if it wasn't a 13 hour drive I would join in the fun. Our trails are gone already.
Have a great time. :sled1:

Thanks for the offer. It would be fun. Hopefully next year we can ride together again.

Rode almost all of Munisings Trails last night.
All trails are in great shape & VERY good!

Met up with the groomer, the ribbon coming out of the back of the groomer was PERFECT & hardening almost immediately. :sled2:
The ground temps are MUCH lower than the air temps.
The air temp was about 45 or so & the ground temp had to be well below 28 to harden that fast.

There was no water on the trails anywhere & no appreciable bare spots.

Thinking ride to Gwinn today & check it out.

Overall, trails are great & will be great for the weekend, you cannot imagine how much snow is here.
All the large snow piles are still all here, just the roads and parking lots burnt off.
Trails are fine.

Come and have fun, don't worry about it, the snow be here waiting for you.
:sled1:

Rock :-o

PS If you want a room, better get a reservation in, very few rooms left right now.
The Band Bloodline is playing Friday Night also!

We cant wait to ride Saturday, coming in Friday night late! :-o I had to do some last minute trading with coworkers for my weekend on call but got that worked out and then needed find a trailer to borrow, yes a trailer! I know some of you are laughing , how can snowmobilers not have a trailer but we have the best riding in all of lower Michigan right out our garage door so we don't have a need to trailer to ride 99% of the time but snow is melting like crazy here now. Time to head north!

Who knows the way to the deepest snow??? :dunno:
