Did you find a wheel yet? I just got here late tonight, I may have one in my trailer, I'll have to check in the morning. I know I have a couple extras at home, but don't remember if I threw a couple in the trailer or not ?

Just looked into this yearly event sounds like fun!!! If Canadians are welcome and you don't mind that my wife rides a "undercover viper" (zr 7000) we are only 5 to 6 hours away and would come out next season!! Not sure what the regs are on crossing the boarder with sleds but we will figure it out!!

I think the only thing you would need to buy is a Michigan Trail sticker for each sled, customs wont have a issue with sleds if there are legal. You could buy the sticker in Munising once you arrive. We spend lots of time in the summer Sudbury Ontario area and always feel welcomed by the locals and I am sure you would find the same down here so come down and enjoy. As far as the 7000 goes, its powered by yamaha that's good in my book!

Yamamarc, you are more than welcome, and like they said, all you need is a Michigan trail permit and it is only $45.
Much cheaper than what I hear it cost you North of the border.

Friday Munising to Grand Marais through Seney and back about 150 miles. Great ride with great people and surprising amount of snow.
Lost a bolt from a cross shaft in my skid. Thankfully another rider ( I forget usernames) had one that fit plus a vice grip to hold the shaft. Back in business.
Back at Comfort Inn decided to take a break and fell asleep watching TV. Not really a bar person anyhow. I did want to see the band for a bit, but maybe next year.
Saturday morning we were up early, ate breakfast, and on the trail by 8am. First sleds on freshly groomed snow from the trail head. Two other sleds followed, but we went west to 7 and they went east. The fresh grooming did not last, but overall not bad until we got close the the spring. Met 2 other sleds coming up from the spring Spent about 45 minutes at the spring taking pics and checking out the updated raft. Hadn't been there is 15+ yrs. Back on the trail and up the haywire. No sleds for the bettter part of the way. This trail was pretty pounded, but we powered through it and back to the CI before noon. Trip avg 36 mph according the Doo digital gauge. I learned a lot about both sleds on this trip. I didn't think Elaine had it in her to run as hard as she did Friday or Saturday. It took her a bit to build her confidence but she really impressed me logging 93 mph (speedo) on the Renegade recall.
250 miles not a bad day and a half. Already planning for next trip and how we can occupy ourselves in the early am hrs. before the main group gets going.
Sorry I didn't get to meet many of you. I think the majority came in for Saturday's ride. We'll try to make it longer next time. W never have "vacationed" very well and had to be back Saturday eve for home chores and so I can tap tress Sunday then Funeral visitation Monday.
