Been around since 01’ on the smoker side! Was searching for info on my New SX600R back then!

December, 2014

At the time I was deciding between between a 600Ace Expedition and the Venture Multi Purpose which I ended up getting and still have. This site was/is such a boost to my confidence in all thing related to snowmobiling. I spring ordered a VK Pro ll and as others predicted in another thread, this will be the longest summer of my life.

I want to acknowledge my debt and express my gratitude to all of you who work so hard on this website and give so much of your time and expertise.

Started out on the 2 stroke board over 16 years ago in my early 20’s. Lurked here for quite a while before buying my first 4 stroke in the fall of ‘06.

One of my best choices I ever made was snow checking a 2004 Warrior 4 Stroke Wonder, which got some sweet goodies on her and a whole lot of Chromed Plastic to bling her up. As my garage had a 1992 V-Max 4 with LOTS of Goodies and a 2001 SRX Bullet. It wasn't long after getting the Warrior I sold the other two as I was sold on the Yamaha 4 Stroke era and the sleds that followed just kept getting better along with my personal custom touch.....:-o

My Second best choice I ever made was I joined "TY" back On March 1st / 2004 and soon became a "Moderator" of course that was 15 years ago and my love affair with this site is just as strong as it was when I first joined. This site ROCKS and the AMAZING People I've been fortunate too meet and ride with have enriched my life and my love for snowmobiling. ;)!

After all these years I Woodened change a Dam Thing

BTW........When I 1st started snowmobiling there were very few Yamahas on the snow and seeing another Yamaha was a rarity back in 1969 with my SL351. Every year a few more became a little more noticeable in the ditches and that continue to change. Now a days you can't go anywhere without seeing Lots of Yamahas on the Trails.:-o:-o:-o

April of '17. Just over 2 years.
Late to the party. Hell...I didn't get on the internet until 2011. Didn't even have an email address at that point! :hide:

I was out of sleds since '05. Got back into them when I stumbled on a great price on my mint '07 RTX.

Joined in 2005 after my 97 700sx ingested a mag side bearing. Found all the parts from members to get it up and running. While waiting on these parts purchased a 2002 Viper from a TY'er. I think the next year I VIP'd up after winning the porting contest.
2008 joined the 4S side to learn about the Apex which I knew was going to be my next sled. VIP'd up again to get more cool swag.
2010 purchased my 07 Attak. Have spent the past 8 seasons modding it. Many TY members are to blame for the money I spent making it the sled it is today. :o| No regrets.:D
Attended my first TY Ride in 2013. Met a lot of crazy people and now I can't get rid of them. BOUNTY!!.
In 2014 got volun-told to join the Mod Squad ( BOUNTY again!!!!) o_O
Have made a few good friends because of TY and hope to meet more crazy blue blooded members in the years to come.

I’m member number 34,,,, I think if I remember right——member num does not show anymore — back in the old days we would usually working on someone’s sled in the evenings in that heated garage in muni——- lol— Tod

Been following threads and gaining info for couple yrs now but just joined this past season. For sure a lot of great info and easy to find answers to all my questions thanks to this site.

I found out about this site in 07 when I went to my first snow show in Milwaukee. I had just purchased an 03 RX1 and was asking about how to lighten up the steering on that machine around the Port Yamaha tent. I am not sure but I think it was Rock that told me to go ask the guy over there Big tall ULGY guy about how to shim the skis and told me I should join this site because it was great. I didn't know at the time that was our own MRSLED I would be talking to. I have been a member since and have gained so much knowledge to keep mine and my friends sleds on the trail. The knowledge I have gained on this site is invaluable and has saved me thousands in repairs. (also cost me thousands in upgrades) that I could afford because I didn't have break downs or if I did I knew where to go to find out how to fix them myself. I work in a job where I sit at a computer all day long and have free time on my hands through out the day so I spend lots of time on here. I cant thank Tom and everyone else enough for this great site!!.
