Ulmer Racing Stage 2 Clutch Kit

Not sure what exact spring it is, It's around a 30/90, engagement is similar to stock, if anything lower than stock but I can't remember. If I get a chance I'll fire up the sled and confirm.
Yes Allen runs a very light primary spring(pink) and those are the rates I had heard too. I am aiming for more rpm down low so I am gonna run the STM 60YS with a black/Blue Dalton(53/133kg) so I will need to add some weight too.

Im surprised Allens setup is 80g total weight per arm with such a light spring, or did you add some more to them? Allen's spec sheet for his kit with these weights is in the FAQ section for anyone who needs the baseline.

Thanks for Info DMC...

I never added weight, I ran what he told me and it was pretty much bang on.

Ok thanks, good to know. Are you running a tune I assume? How much boost?

I have a few springs to test with, and also will be running the 33/35 helix so I want abit more primary spring rate on top.

I dont like that stock spring, way too long...

Ran powertrail last year with that setup, running powertrail CAI this year, may need tweaking, anxious to try his helix in comparison to the 35/39 and stock 35. Having TDs GPS will make life a lot easier when it comes to tuning.

so the other day I was out trying my sled with the Powertrail flash. just curious how my rpm compares to yours? I am currently running Ulmer's clutch kit(60ys) from last year with 2 tungstens on the outer tip and 2 washers on the inner hole, my rpm on acceleration is 9150 and settles at 9050 rpm.
what helix,and secondary spring,and what wind,please.

Ulmer is using a multi angle helix and it's not a reverse.
Well I got all my stuff from Ulmer, and my stage 2 kit came with straight 38 stm helix and a pink secondary spring, stm weights noted above and he wanted it to run 9150 to 9400 with stage 4 tune he flashed mine with.

His stage 2 kit was just released so he must have found a better setup. He just responded to an email I sent him with this "it's a multi angle but it's not a reverse".

The stage 2 kit I got when I got his complete set up,was for last year, and he did not have enough snow to fully test out in his part of his state,i was hoping I would have been on my sled to test, but heart surgery took me out of the game completely. But he did send me his pink/blk primary with stm supertip weights loaded to 80 grms, and his red secondary spring on the straight 38 from stm also, and from what my buddy who ran my winder for 718 miles of 265 hp give or take a few, said it was an animal, but we also had a couple of teething problems with the skid we used to put my humpty Dumpty back togeather again lol so that was 2017 stage 2 kit,and I am not supprised to see it changed for 2018 please report back on your progress if you have it going good.

i will for sure, looking forward to testing it.

Received Allens helix and spring. He's running a steeper starting angle as his hand written instructions are to remove heel weight which in my case is 2 washers. I'll be trying it Wednesday hopefully to see how it works. Must be a cat spring I'm guessing due to the weird wrap. Hopefully it stays cold this week. A few helixes and springs to try now and the TD GPS will take the guesswork away.

Hmmm, I’ll have to check next weekend when I’m back home but I don’t think mine listed 9-1
