We run the mountain can on both our Vipers. They are defiantly louder. If your looking for quite, than stick with the stock muffler. The Hp gains from a can is in our opinion not worth the sacrifice for the noise if thats your main goal. There are many other ways to get Hp and keep the sled quiet.

I bought the Bikeman full velocity ss muffler. It looks exactly like the sandale and when comparing sound clips side by side they sound the same, it was $60 cheaper than sandales and comes ceramic coated which was the selling point for me as I'm trying to get my intake air temps lower. I have not installed yet so cant compare vs. stock.

The d&d trail can is only a bit louder than stock. This is why i got this one. Its almost sounds stock. It also has baffles in vs glass packing that blows out and gets louder. There is sound clips on youtube.

Sorry but I disagree. It's not slightly louder maybe sitting at idle but not on the trail. Also the d&d I had fell apart and cracked. I had to make a new heat shield and weld the darn thing.

Does the straightline and sandale muffler have glass packing in them? One nice thing about the D&D is no packing.

Straightline/Ulmers dont have packing, I think the only one that I actually saw that had packing is the Excell.
