So I installed a new set of hyfax a little over 150 miles ago and I was checking over the sled and found one hyfax was almost wore out and the other one was like new. Track adjustment was even on bolth sides. These where yamaha standard hyfax. In all my years I have never seen this especially in such a short time. Don't know if this was a defective hyfax or what it could be. Maybe I will see if I have a bad track clip but really see that hard to believe. Anyone see this before or have an idea?

on my sled i ratcheted (before i put extroverts on) and partially tore a clip off, it screwed a brand new set of sliders in 20 miles, wore one corner off. it only takes a minute to check for broken, pulled or missing track clips

It's a pretty even wear across but it's the only tghing that makes sense. Just thought I would of smelled it or felt it dragging.

Check over your suspension for missing bolts or even wrong mount points of the torque arms. One side may be off more than the other. Check to see if the torsion springs are set equally to each side, as well as the limiter straps.
Check to see if both rails caps are still there and tight.
Check the track sliders...they're the white ones at the top of the front torque arm. What shape are the idler wheels in? Maybe one is loose/broken/misaligned.
Was there something you did to the suspension during the summer? I'd double check that.

Have almost all billet idlers and just had the skid out when I installed the boards but my set up is the same as I had been running and I never had this issue. But I am going to look over everything. Thanks

My first guess would be a damaged track clip on the side that is worn down.
My second guess would be a bent rail causing more pressure on the side that is worn down.

You might also want to check to make sure all your new idlers are actually the same and proper size.

any chance you could post a pic. Mine wore really close to the line in the first 200-300miles. I just changed them at 24xx miles still could have got half a season out of them.
