Hey guys, since sled runs great now and of course we allways want more,, would i see a big differnce in upgrading to the Garrett GT2560R from the GT2554? I have a rear mount FFP, wich has ran good. Just wondering if its worth the $1000 bucks or so,, oh I have Hurricane meth kit going in as we speak..

2560 is a huge diff on a front mount from a 2554 especially at 12 pounds boost & higher IMO.

chnaging to bigger turbo
I would go to a new GT2860 with .64 housing and good water cooling hoses and double down pipe etc.
The two turbos you asking about have the same exhaust turbine wheels and housings already.

i went to the 2560 a couple years ago and it is a huge difference compared to a 2554 .this is on a front mount powderlites .it all depends on what you want.the bigger the turbo the more lag you get ,especially on a rear mount turbo.you can ask skydog i think he has a post on here on an rx1 rear mount converted to a 2560 turbo.i like my 2560 ,works good and throttle response is insane and pulls hard.i dont know if the 2860 would be as responsive ,but i have a front mount so it probably would help .

full throttle800 ,what did you not like about the 2860 turbo that you wished you would of went bigger.is your turbo set up a rear mount or front mount.

I hope you didn't order it yet.
The compressor is the same size as the one you have there will be no improvement in power or response on a rear mount.
Go to the 2560 you will be very surprise at how good this turbo works on a rear mount.
The 2860 would be then next one up from the 2560.
