VECTOR MOTOR/CLUTCH NOISE?

Hey Jack, Your knowledge of these sleds is quite impressive. This is one of the most constructive sleds sites I have found thanks to people like your self . Just as with this thread I am amazed by the varying view points but no bashing ;)! . It seems most here post for the enjoyment of the sport(and Yamaha) not to diss someone because their opinion/perspective differs. How is it that you know so much about these 4 strokers.

 I second that, jack_shaft and some other guys too are freaking amazing ;)!

I understand that this is a fairly easy fix and I would have no problem doing it if I had bought the sled used. What I dont understand is why after spending 8 grand on a new sled you would want to spend more to fix a warranty issue.Thats why I bought new. I have been riding Yamahas for 20 years and I just feel that it is there responsibility to fix.

Vector Noise

Vectory, I agree with your views on Yamaha having the best fit and finish on the market...they always have. I'm also a mechanic of 25 years, and I buy Yamaha for their superior quality. I started out long ago on a '80 Exciter 440 and have only owned Yammys. I have just switched from a '98 600 SX with a thin headgasket, clutching and a few other goodies. It never once let me down in all of the severe trail bashing that it was subjected to. The great news is my new Vector has the same great fit, finish and quality, and on top of that, it now has the performance to convert a lot of non believers.

Unfortunately, I also agree with Mc426 that I wish it didn't sound like this after 8g. Oh well, I'm not as upset as it sounds...just talking back and fourth. I'm sure this will be my favorite sled yet!

What he said. I too am not happy that it is occuring. At idle, mine drowns out the sweet exhaust tunes.....
