That's a crap shoot. Like I said, I personally have gotten a filter too tight by hand & it was a bitch to get off.

Since its a used sled, who knows how the previous filter was installed. Hand, wrench???

Like I said too, pound a screwdriver thru it if need be.

put a little oil on the seal and get it snug and attempt to get 1/2 turn more but only by hand it you get it to tight it will be a B to get back off again. the oil on the seal will cause it to swell a little bit and make a better seal. exactly the same as a car for sure.

i do my brothers with a filter strap for acar/transport. did crush it a bit last time i did it but came off.

When they are hard to get off this is my go to oil filter wrench (only for getting it off not putting it on)
