I went to the local Cat dealer this weekend to look over the XF series to get an idea what the viper might look like in real life.
While there we were discussing this new Yamaha / Cat venture and the new Cat line up for the 2014.
Specifically the FX model 7000 series (Yamaha Viper LTX or XFX).
We got talking about different accessory.
Currently I own a 2007 Apex GT and am very happy with it.
Then the dealer mention the ability to add 2up option to the FX.
This got me thinking about purchasing a new 2014 7000 series FX for this reason.
It allows me to add the second seat so I can drag my grand kids around, but also convert back the single rider.
Which can install relative easy and with a few minor tweaks be more or less snap on/off
So this got me thinking, if Yamaha going to offering the same basic accessories as CAT does for this chassis so why get the CAT FX but get a Viper instead.
Even if Yamaha does not sell the same accessories it seems to be most of the CAT ones would work.
Which also give us rides flexibility when a Yamaha dealer is not close by.
Thoughts?

I would be expecting decal kits from Yamaha, dupont sliders, 2-up seat kit, bar bags, tunnel bags, front shock options evo x/r, Kinda hoping for more track options, covers, extra wheel kits,

I really like the storage bags.......... Having the extra seat would be handy at times also....... MM.

I have an accessory leaflet for the viper that they added to the yamaha accessory book from the dealer show. If anyone wants prices on specific items I can see if it is in there and post it for you. Otherwise just look at AC accessories they should all be the same.

The heated goggle bag is really handy. Probably would be one of the first things that I would get!

Some pretty cool stuff there. The low blue windshield with the blue wrap kit would look pretty sick. Definitely need the tunnel bag and hand guards.

Has anybody seen anything new as far as accessories go? My dealer told me Yamaha was trying to put something on the web site by the end of snow check, but no such luck I guess.

Nothing more new yet other than aftermarket which really seems to be jumping all over this sled with just about anything you can imagine. We should be well taken care of by fall.
