Does anyone know if the viper belt is the same as the arctic cat 7000?

Different clutches... I would assume different belt.

Kodak... I seriously doubt that they are the same as the clutches are different. A/C uses there own clutches and Yamaha uses there own clutches so I would recommend sticking with the Yamaha belts. I know that some Viper owners are switching to the 8DN Yamaha belts as opposed to what came on them but I am not sure what the benefit of that is yet. Hope this helps.

I do know the clutches are different but I thought the 8jp belt was a arctic cat belt
No. Different belt. Way more $ than 8JP or 8DN also.

Canondale that was why I was asking my buddy has a 7000 and told me he paid close to 180 for a belt . No wonder a lot of people complain about the AC clutching it's to expensive to be going through belts.
diference is?
I dont recall but it was alot more than 8DN - 8JP. Was looked at last year.

If I remember correctly, I think that I paid somewhere around $150 for mine. Which is quite a shock from buying 8DN's for the past several years!LOL
So far the Cat belt is lasting though, I'm still running the original belt and it still looks good.

My buddies 7000 same belt looks great with probably 2000mi on it. His clutching is right on and very smooth. I know I know. But yes I am considering the secondary from one.

Will the cat clutch fit the yamaha jackshaft?
Cat uses the turbo belt on the 7000.

The
XTX5035 is what I have on my 7000. Also running the Cat belt that came on sled... The Dayco XTX is 90 bucks.. I have had good luck with this belt in past.. Still trying both belts right now. The 5035 is a smidge longer but also a smidge wider.. Honestly they both fit the same as far a shimming / verdict is still out on which runs faster or better..

Will the cat clutch fit the yamaha jackshaft?
No would need the shaft also and at that point would probably go with Team Secondary. We will see. Like said the cat system when right is really smooth just not sure if speed is there.
