I know it doesn't seem right to to load the tips to cure the initial over rev down low but after a lot of adjusting both last year and this year I've found I can't load the heels at all or it'll lug along in rpm.

So what would yourm recommend? Remove all heel weight completely, then add to the tip, so there's a tungsten and 4 washers, so I pulled them run what in the tip?
Or should I remove 2 from the heel and place them on the tip then try it again?

What is the base weight of your weights? What does each washer weigh? And what does the tungsten weigh? I would set your weights up to be roughly 58-60 grams total weight and have it adjusted more at the tip area. I think that'll be a good starting point.

Base weight I'm not sure of, the tungsten is 7.5 grams and the washers are 1 gram each

Update. There is something wrong with my secondary. We haven't figured it out as to exactly what yet, but I'm guessing a defect. So if your having problems swap your secondary with someone that is working right. My sled has never worked better what a difference.
Very happy to see there was not an issue with the 8fp weights and COTC setup.

Well it'll all depend on base weight, but if you can shoot for somewhere in that 60 gram range it'll be a good starting point. I would atleast remove that heavy tungsten from the heel, that's what's really hurting u by drawing the rpm wY down after launch

Okay just got the scale out... Total overall weight right now is 67 grams, subtract the washers and tungsten on there and I have a base weight of 51.5... So if I'm close on Rpms now if I removed that tungsten I'd be over revving no? Like without adding some weight to the tip

Possibly, hard to know without trying. How many spots on the weights is there to add weight? Is it 3 different locations? And how many washers can u add in one spot?

6 spots to add weight, 3 on each side of the weight and able to add up to 4 washers on each spot or 1 tungsten

I have the 60 gram weights with my turbo and I run 11 grams in the heel and 4 in the tips. Just my opinion (and correct me if I'm wrong) but if you just load the tip you won't grip the belt good on take off causing the belt to slip. Your rpms are dropping after take of because your spinning then getting traction...this is normal. Try testing at 60 km/hr.
Try both setups. Studroes has done lots of testing so he could be right.
My clutches are cool and don't have any slippage marks after riding so the secondary and primary are working together which is what you want

Gotcha, I have no knowledge of those weights or what the profile is, but I would try 4 washers in the tip and 3 in the middle and see where that puts you for rpm, just remember to run the sled for a good 5-10 mins or so so everything is heat soaked before u get a real judgement.

Newton, that's exactly what I ran into with the original setup, was 7 washers in the heel with the stock spring, 2 washers in the tip... Tonnes if belt dust and slippage and would bounce off limiter 6 or 7 times off the line...
With that said, I dropped the tungsten in the heel, added 4 washers instead.... So that's gives me a total of 8 in the heel now... Added 4 to the tip as well, so overall I'm a total of 2 grams lighter then the previous setup just different weight positioning

You didn't have the pink secondary spring or the orange spring in when you stated that

Your close....you just have to find "your" happy spot. That's why most clutch kits are never perfect.....Everyone wants something different
