I was going to put one on my Viper XTX LE but from what i found in the Accessory book is its not available for the MTX or the XTX LE. I am wondering why? It is the exact same chassis is it not?

I asked the same question about differences between the xtx le/ mtx that are supposed to be on the pro climb chassis and the xtx se and ltx that are in the in the pro cross.
There has to be some differences in both chassis in order the skid plate not to fit the xtx le and mtx.
There must be something out there to fit them.

Has anybody found a good skid plate for the Viper yet? Bought the Yamaha rear skid plate and went to install, but it is ridiculous. To take that thing off and back on for every oil change is absurd. I would rather just replace my fucked up aluminum every year.

What is best option here? I do a lot of boondocking. Thanks!

I got the Barn of Parts Aluminum skid plate I think it probably offers better protection to the snowmobile and won't store snow and ice.

I cut mine out so it comes for oil changes.
