Ok guys yes I did a search and couldn't find anything. Sled has 4500 miles on it, and it's an '04 with the no action pro action. I have the springs set as tight as they can go and it was making a bottoming out noise on the trails. In the deep stuff it was fine. Do I need to rebuild these shocks or what?

i have 15 000 km on mine and never had the shocks rebuilt,i actually like the proaction,im 225, 6'3'' and my sled only bottoms out slightly when im loaded with baggage on long trips, maybe its because the trails are so flat and smooth around here that about any suspension, new & old feels comfortable

I have noticed that now I have it in the heated shop all thawed out, the transfer rods are fully extended now. On the trail they were sucked right in with no weight on the sled?

mine bottoms at least a few times each time I go out riding... now Im looking for a heavier rear spring, anyone have one 4 sale?

Towerrigger - you blew out your center shock. Should be rebuildable. Try Pioneer or Hygear. I blew my center shock out this year and had the same symptoms as you. I've got 2200 on my 05. If you don't want a rebuild then you'll be forking out $350 for a factory replacement or $360 for an Ohlin.

You will be amazed at the difference of how a sled rides after the shocks have been done. I never used to do them until once I decide to send them out. 40 bucks a shock and it was like I had a brand new ride!
I do them every 3000 miles now.

i do not know about us pricing but i know for the adjustable olin's for the rear of my war it was $500.00 for the front and $700.00 for the rear. still have the stockers in the garage as spares atm but the olin's where a big improvement. still getting mine set how i want them but still better than stock.

Thanks guys that's what I thought it was. Just never had shocks rebuilt before.

Yah, it's the center shock. Took it apart tonight and she is toast. NY Nytro is right the rear can't be rebuilt.

replace that rear shock with a revavled viper shock from pioneer. There is a couple on e-bay right now. Great inprovement and done cheap too! Yes there is other ways to do it, but this will be the most resonable, and then both will be rebuildable. Good luck. Honk
