Well its been a good ride.....

I too ordered a 800 xrs in black, I only owned yamahas in the past, but rode them all. And where and people we ride with, for some reason the doo crew had the least amount of brake downs. Yes yamahas never ever had engine problem, but everything around it always needed fixing/up keep, poos always with blown engines, and cats taking belts per mile, not miles per belt, so I think it's time for blue goggles to go and see what else is out there. Wish I could have yamie triple but until they build a solid chassis around it(preferably their own) I'll be on the worst sled out there aka Doo!

I must say doo is not the worst sled out there , maybe the best !

My wife rides a 1200 doo and loves it !

Looks like she's smarter than you. Lol ;):D

All mechanical things wear and fail. Both Doo and yamaha make good but different sleds choose what you like. I have had both with good results. Can have issues with either.

Yamadoo

Well I wouldn't say that ; they both are great sleds , it took a little time to get that doo setup to , but both are great sleds right out of the box !

I too just made the decision to leave my Nytro. I loved that machine, spent a lot of time and money on it, but my riding style has changed to mostly offtrail. Although it never let me down and got me through chest deep snow, I just decided to get something a little more nimble in the snow. I'm going to be on a 2014 SBA next year. If I don't like it, or have issues I fear with having a 800 2 stroke, I'll get Viper. I just had this feeling I needed to try something else...grass is greener right?

Time will tell, but I'll be interested to see my bro's boosted Nytro next winter. Maybe I'll reqret this whole ordeal, maybe not. Ride on!

I went with a 2015 800 xrs as well.. 8000 trouble free miles on my nytro but felt it was time for a change, I originally went with a turbo cat on spring order but after my buds primary clutch gave out for the second time and chain case failure this past weekend I switched to the xrs.

You'll love that sled, I test drove it in old forge and it's absolutely amazing, especially here in ny lots of twisty trails and that sled does that really well, I can't wait!

Lots of people leaving the Yamaha camp this year. If I was in the market for a new sled I'd have to get an 800 XRS in black!
