Well so much for my sleds maiden voyage, alacart cat chaincase, again

It may have just come out of gear Pete. Take the actuator off, reclock and try again. Don't forget 3 times going in and out. All the gears are already Hyvo and Winder is 15 wide. Can't get any better than that.
OK sounds like an easy first try steve,so once I take it off, reclock, give it 3 trys in and out to check that is it? Steve I don't believe the stock gears are hyvo,it saids in my manual they are Borg warner, and not even sure the 84 chain I got from cat was a hyvo either,it was 15 wide and 110 bucks, but there 22 top I believe is sentered metal gear, that's the gear I have to put back in if ther are in fact blown, the top gear, which was Yamaha 21 gear. But I have the 15 wide stock 86 pitch hyvo chain and cats 22 top for the stock 41 bottom,if it in fact does need to be fixed.

Don't really want to say this, but it sounds like it is time to hang up the skis and get into another recreational sport for a while...this is so depressing.

Better yet it could make for good reality TV. "The Trials and Tribulations of Snowbeast" lol

Cheers Amigo - Keep your head high, always next season.

Thanks bro,but I have so many trials Tribulations over the years sense my first new sled I ever bought back in 1969 Rupp, its not even funny,if this is all life has for me,well I think I will make it through alright.

As some of you know,my LTX-LE which has been down sense Dec 7th,is now Back on line and running well, motor wise and chassie, now maybe we should of put more thought into the gear ratio,i chose. But now we will lol,my buddy said a few times he could whip it up a notch,to 100 plus,it would sound and feel like track rachet, anyone else have this problem when track was new first 200 miles,it does have 192 1,456 thou tall studs, one per bar,and he said with this kind of power,he can spin the track lose at 80 mph,not good for racing someone with same power, but that's not what I wanted it for,he said it just rails as the front is planted, and back slides just enough under power,so my handling will be just how I like to pook around, but I do like to rip it up on some long RR bed straights, when I can. I hope this once done stretching and has finally been tight enough to stay put,and chaincase chain and gears are good to go,that will be the end of it.

Rupp was a going model huh?

My first ride was on an Alouette then Sears !!

Yeah lot's of the house invasion or break ins happening huh!

Many seem drug related, need money. New drugs are easy to get hooked on We hear

It's all Hyvo now. Gears may be sintered.

If you bought cat gear and chain that may not be Hyvo. All Yamaha is. Be careful. Can't be mixed.
Hi steve, spoke with Allen today,he told me all Yamaha gears and chain this year are all hyvo. So if it is the top 21 stock hyvo gear,i will be better off going back to the stock hyvo chain (Yamaha) and 41 bottom also Yamaha hyvo, but the 22 top is a cat,but also extra tooth may help distribute more even on pull of chain, wish I could get a hyvo 24,yes cat has that size,is it hyvo? Don't know and a hyvo 44 or 46 bottom and of course hyvo chain. For now we will take our chances with 22/41 steve my buddy did say the rear skid ride rough in the stutters, but he is only 150 lbs, that don't sound like the qs3 shocks I have heard so much good stuff about?

You have the part numbers handy Pete? I can look them up. Vipers and 7000's went Hyvo in 14 I believe all the Cats in 15 did also but not sure. I do know if you lay the old cat chain on a Hyvo gear it does not fit. That's bad.

Steve I wouls love to find a 24 top and 46 bottom,i do know cat has 50 bottom and 24 top,but the bigger top gear you can run will cause less trouble on a boosted sled vrs 21 or 22 just don't provide enough grip on jackshaft area,i would rather find a 44 bottom with a 25 top but that works out to 69 and will not find a hyvo chain to fit that combo,a 90 link may work, but would most likely need to be adjusted in more than I would like to see.

Over 1200 miles and never any track rachet. Stock motor though, maybe some with tunes will chime in!

Ya,i think it is just stretching, but than again,i was not there, and it may of been chaincase noise, sometimes it makes a similar noise, when running hard, and case is ready to let go.

I have had three R motion rear Doo's and my SW rides every bit as good. Others have reported hard riding SW's but I have yet to experience anything rough or hard about mine over any type of trails. I find the rear skid to be very smooth and compliant.
