Which FXR?

The Backshift is rated at -50 and the Octane is rated at -40 I belive, they are light weight and comfy with very good support.

That's the only thing that the Sorels lack.....but they really are more of an outdoor wear boot FXR stuff is for snowmobilers

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the above foot wear as they are all pretty decent......Im sure FXR has a GOOD HOLD on the market around here.

There's a lot of feet out there in Klim boots so you'll get a big response recommending them but that doesn't mean that other boots aren't equally as good. I looked at Klim boots that a friend wears and they are a very nice looking boot with good reviews. When it came time for new boots I couldn't decide between Klim or FXR so I flipped a coin and ended up with the TEAM FXR boots. I think both boots are equally as good so either way I knew I would end up with a quality boot.

I have had Altimate boots for 4 years and they are great. If I had any complaint it might be that they are too warm. I never have cold or wet feet and I only wear thin water wicking socks. The model I have i sno longer available. Below is a link to the website.

SWEET BOOTS....Do you have any of their helmets?

I really like this one.....Reevu Msx1-R, not sure about how well it works in the winter though

X2
Mine are starting to show some wear, but been using the same pair for 20 years!

WOW....20 years......Mine are probably close to that.....I try to save them...lol
Thats quality for ya....still going. Back then there really wasn't a lot to choose from......Sorels were the warmest boot, I think they still are

I got a pair of FXR's because they were blowing them out at the end of the season and im glad i did, my Sorels are warmer but the FXR's are a better supported boot........I like them both

I use the Adrenaline GTX boots as well, with no complaints and a high recommendation. Pair those up with SmartWool socks and you'll be a happy camper.

+1. Although not sure where mine were made, but I've got the Sorel Alpha Trac Buckle boots, and they are GREAT! One caveat is that I don't spend much time off trail so all I can say is for a trail boot, they are WARM and DRY and COMFY and they look great, offer enough support to help with the rough trails but enough flexibility that you can comfortably walk around when you stop for lunch.

I wear these now and they are great, sure no water getting in, bit heavy and no good off trail when stuck. I'm still not convinced Gore-Tex is a miracle material ( I know I'll take heat over that ) I had a sales rep give me a Gore-Tex glove and told me to stick my hand in water, well my hand was dry but the material wasn't exactly dry either. I also understand that your feet can be damp and warm, that's where I see these good boots working. I love Klim gear as well.
