i have an 06 nytro with 144 studs, and was wondering what a good carbide runner would be to put on this sled for aggressive trail riding? What are the differences between the different lengths of carbides and the effects they have?

bergstrom makes good quality carbides. the longer the carbide, the more turning bite, but also more effort needed to turn the handlebars. with your setup, your probably looking at 8 or 10 inch.

Six inches of carbide matches 144 studs. Don't go overbaord. Nova7211 is right. The more length you have, the harder it turns. Unless, ... you go with Dualies. Then go with 4", which actually gives you 8"s and also stops any darting.

I ran Woody's 6" dualies in my 121 rtx with 192 1.375 last year and loved it. Turned perfect and railed the corners. Minimal darting. This year I have a 136, so I may have to change it. But for your application, you wouldn't be disapointed with the dualies. I payed about 120 bucks for them, but they lasted all season long and there is plenty left even though I ran in marginal contions.
