what did you do to your apex today

Since the ho'hum:( reveille of the 16s, I told the old girl she'll be with me a bit longer! It's time for new chain and gears, new drive bearings, drive shaft with extro's and maybe a track, new frontend bushings. Hello Allen Ulmar I'd like to place an order!;)!

You mean OD primary sheeve, single right, just the inside solid one right, did you run hauck speed sheeve,if so how is that working out for you,did you also cut your helix,or shim it out, with washers to keep it from coil binding, unless you run a silver spring. Also did you drop a gear, generally top from 24 to 23??

Dropped a gear. Running Hauck helix and sheave so no binding. Have not tried top end. Taking it out next week. Would run 100 teens without the overdrive.
Might be a waste with the big windshield, it buckles in pretty good now above 110. Sheaves were worn so figured just replace with overdrive.

Put my roller secondary on , pulled it of my venture

now that our trails are great she broke, looks like crank sensor so she sat and i rode dads renagade ace for 100+ miles.

Where's your 2015 permit. For that matter , where's your 2012,2013 and 2014?

where do you all ride in what state and why has not some one put together a big group
of apexes for a weekend ride. Talk of stuff done to rides and places been.

Installed a Stock Yamaha Mountain Apex exhaust on my Attak...just plain tired of the noise from the aftermarket exhausts.
Was hard to add the 14+ pounds of weight back on my sled over the Bender system. The Bender exhaust was very light at 9 pounds, stood up well and made good power but just too noisy.
Now I have to modify my PC5 fuel programs and reclutch the sled for the stock system.

Left my pocket open on Sunday after helping my buddy with some trail-side maintenance....lost my insurance, ownership, and trail pass...laziness does NOT pay.
Ouch!

As for what I did with the Apex today? Washed her up at the local car wash & put her back in the garage with the heat on to thaw out. Friday she'll see the trails again. The way the forecast looks, might be the last of the season.

I installed a new windsheild and some powermadd handguards to my apex along with some Woody's dual 4" carbides, I'm impressed with the handling now.

I put Cat mirrors and added lights to the front. Small LED’s that really help in being seen in snow dust. and I can see anything behind me. View attachment 106623 View attachment 106624
I really like those mirrors, they look like they are meant to be there from your picture. I recently ditched my ROX handguards with mirrors because they hit my windshield during hard turns and the mirror part was useless because they were small and the vibrations would really affect the view for the worse. Im going to look into those, how do they handle the vibrations? they look big enough that they would still work fairly well even of they do vibrate.
