HAHA, my dad gives me crap for having too clean of a workbench/garage every time he visit's. I'm just a little anal about cleaning up when i'm done a project. lol
The picture makes the flap look way more bent then it really is, bounces back no problem.
Will it still bounce back months later though?
I am wanting to do something similar to you but I do have concerns about the flap, especially after I angled it back even further.

Still debating whether to fog mine or start it every month?
No, last season I used Stabil. I only learned about Sea-foam after the fact. I know the Manual specifically says NOT to start it while stored, but sometimes you have to live on the edge. lmao.![]()
Decided to fo mine today.
In the owners manual it says to just dump some oil down the cylinders and turn engine over a few times.
I fogged, which I think is more proper way to coat things but I also know a lot of peeps don't do anything so no harm doing it either way I guess?
Do Yamaha engines have stainless steel valves? If not, then I am surprised Yamaha doesn't recommend fogging?

I'm thinking i'm going to do a minor re-design with the rear. I'll probably just have a couple arms come off the top to hold the bumper and release any tension on the flap. Several people have voiced concerns about it now so i'm thinking I should take the popular advice.

Put in new Heel clicker 2 speed clutch kit, checked studs for tightness, installed spare belt clip on clutch guard plate and drank beer looking at it trying to figure out what else I should do to it ![Jump :jump: :jump:](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/jump.gif)

Haha with a passenger too.........nicely done!
Well, I finally got through my laundry list for this summers project list. There was the routine, all fluids. lube everything, adjust chain, track skis.lighten up the weight on my ulmer clutch kit, as it would only hit 10,200-10,300 most of the time. Also was on a mission to tighten front steering. I replaced all relay bushing/bearings, all tierod ends, and installed the OFT str bushing kit. Wow, that was a huge help all by itself. Everything is 99 percent tight now. On a side note, after my sled has not run for about 4 months, I finally started it. It popped 1 time, and would not start. I finally gave it full throttle, and it went. Now I know that the fuel being 4/5 months old, even with stabil could be an issue. But I was wondering if part of the issue is the 100 degree ambient temps???? Maybe the sled does not have a wide enough swing in perameters to start real nice in hot temps. Well, I ran it until it hit around 190 degree engine temps....about ten minutes, cooled it off for 1/2 hour, and ran it again. Still did not start real nice the second time(low idle at first), but did not require any throttle to get going. Anyway, I am not going to get concearned right now. I will try it when the ambient temp is 50/60 degree. Only thing left to do is wax the sled.

Carbs probably got gunned up in the 4months. Clean them out in the fall and it'll run like a dream again.

Thanks grossman, but no carbs. I get what you are saying though, could just be poor fuel.

No more ohlins with wire, no more hyfax problem and better confort.
