There is a lot of personal preference when it comes to buying a helmet. Also, when you say 'full face', do you mean MX style?
If you are looking for a quality helmet, everyone in our group runs a AC TXI. It has a very good seal around your eyes and you really don't have to run an e-shield. Also, if you are going to the Novi show, there are quite a few vendor there that sell them for about half price. I bought mine there for 110! One additional positive is that it has a visor, ad comes in REAL handy on sunny days.

This thread could get very long.... everyone has their preference..... I personally am a fan of HJC hlemets, always had good luck with them.... fit is nice, they run small so get a bigger size than normal, and at the show you can usually find them with e sheilds for a great deal.... few years ago, i bought my wifes there with e sheild for i think it was 149.99.

I have both Hjc full face and MX style both are great helmets. Don't know if all brands have this, but HJC's have a pocket built into the ear area to put your speakers in if you run communicators. You should be able to get a great deal at show on helmet with last years color scheme

Yes, I agree this post could get very long with many opinions. I bought an Arctic Cat TXI helmet with a heated shield at the Novi show a couple years ago for $129. It is all black, light weight, and has a cool visor as part of the shield. It has an eyeport with different thickness seals and works very well without the electric shield. I am not so crazy about their sleds, but Arctic Cat makes some cool gear. I think I bought it from Babbits. G.B.

I am a fan of the original Doo modular, I have had pretty good luck with them. I have an e shield for the unexpected wet snow, rain, and other weird riding conditions you run into.

I bought a plain black HJC CL-MAX at Shade Tree at Novi last year for $110. I love it. I wear glasses without fogging and I agree with the electric shield statement. You might not need one for most of the time but if you put in a lot of saddle time sooner or later you will find freezing rain and good luck without the electric shield. My .02 worth.

BV2S is the best helmet I have ever had hands down but it is not cheap, I picked mine up last year at the Green Bay show for under $300.00.

So what helmet did you end up with from the show? Saw a lot of nice ones with good prices. I couldn't find a replacement heated shield for my Sno Force so I ended up getting a GMax modular with a heated shield already on it for 149.00. Nothing special and not my favorite helmet, but turns out it is pretty comfy and I thought the price was good.
