Hey guys I have a Triton Trailer with the "fatboy tires" and the side wall says MAX LOAD 935lbs at 50PSI Nowhere else does it say what the reccomended pressure should be.It seems as if 50PSI is pretty high.
Assuming you guys have the same size tires on your trailers, what do you guys inflate your cold pressure to?

Ditto......Keep them between 40 & 50 psi and you will have no problems.

I run my single place with tires this size at 35. What you HAVE to run in them depends on load - up to the max capacity. Below that you can kind of "wag" it and double check your guess by simply running for a couple miles and check the temp of the sidewall. Luke warm is fine. Any warmer and you're likely too low.
If you don't feel like screwing with it do the 50lb thing and be done with it.

Always ran 50 psi in those tires. Still blew out several on long trips. I was doing 600-1000 miles one way only stopping long enough for fuel. That was interstate driving running 65-80mph. I think they just over heat running at that speed and blow apart. I had a tandem axle and carried 2-3 spares with me. lol
Dont miss those little tires at all. Eric

when I run long trips like that with those small tires I will always stop after a little while and let air out. I run mine at 35 psi and sometimes when I stop there over 70 especially if its on the warmer side Ill drop them back down then fill them back up later after the trip never had a blow out yet (knock on wood) but these little tires definitely build some serious pressure they really need to be watched on those long road trips.

Glad to see I'm not the only one confused. I had them at about 27PSI and upped them to 35PSI. That's about it though. I've had the trailer for 2 seasons now with no problems. It's just that my outsides are worn a bit which means underinflation.
Personally, I think 50 is too much. 35 "might" be a bit low but somwhere 40 might be the answer. I'll have to keep an eye on it.
