My sled needs HELP!!!! 06 RTX with Ulmer stage 2, 144 gold diggers up the middle only seeling about 108 - 110 at best on the dream meter on hard packed snow, 10,800 rpms. Just barely out runs my buddies 600 sdi. It really rips out of the hole though (shorter races i have beaten several Apexs)... not sure what to do. I have discovered some idler wheel bearings were shot, will check em all soon. Any suggestions?? maybe try 23t top gear?

Check your track clips, my mileage and coasting ability went to hell last year. Got home and on;y had two clips left, replaced and hey theres my mileage and speed back.

Fasted I’ve seen is 118 on GPS on a down hill lake with rear wind and moon sitting at 30 degrees. Normal days on ice I usually see 108-112mph. I plan to change that this coming season. I’m about 220 lb in full gear. Dan[/quote said:
Down hill lake, eh!,mmm, need to find me one of those.

Best I've seen is 128 on hardpack with about 2-3 inches of fresh pow on it.
It was fun but don't think I'll be doing that again, everything going by is a blurr.

will do... thanks!

Interesting to see what everyone has run. I would have thought the speeds would have been closer together then they are besides the variables and conditions. Seems there all over the place. Best part about this apex motor is it can run good speeds and still get you 0-100 in a hurry. :4STroke:

seems that some quote radar/gps speeds and others quote dreameter speed which explains differences. Safe to say a regular apex is about a 110mph (radar) machine. Little quick setups and a good day can steal a few more mph. Changing track and a bit of clutch/gear playing can get ya 118-120+mph (all on ice of course)

Dano i should have clarified i meant between the people that had dreamometer speeds and gps speeds. The readings aren't as close as i would have expected. I figured the error would be the same among models.
