2011 xtx rpm's and top speed?

I have a 2011 xtx with excell wheel kit, has great hyfax wear, all stock, has great mid range but the top end only hits 100mph on speedo, hard pack on lake 35 degree weather. When I look at the marking on the primary clutch it is not even close to going to the top. Engine only runs 10,000 rpm but machine only has 1000 miles on it. What do you all think? I think it should have better top end , my other apex's did in the past.
 
Well maybe something is up with that..not opening all the way..just a thought.
I do get 10,500-10,700 with mine.
Seen 123 on dream-o-meter once.
Took out a Rush 800 from start to finish last season and a e-tech 800.

Ran with my buddys 2012 800 rush we were about even.
 
The 2011 apexs speedo is only 2mph off vs 06 -10s r 14mph off. Had an 07 apex, speedo read 124mph but the gps said 109.6 mph. And my 2011 apex speedo 113mph and gps 111.4mph. But yea your exhaust flap could be way off and that would cause that 4 sure! ;)!

The polaris speedo said exactly the same as mine. My 08 didnt have the midrage punch like this one but had better top end.

It does and if it's out of spec it will lower the peak revs. The other issue with the 11's is a lean condition from 80-100% throttle. Add some fuel and air, and you will get it close to the advertised HP.

Was thinking about ordering a power commander and some bulls eyes from DD But I hate throwing money at something that I don't know for sure if there is a problem. Is there any info on here to get the exhaust valve spec setting?

Check out this vid. IMO the short intakes are useless on the EXUP motor and the gain is in the Pc5 and air box.

never thought about the exup being out of adjustment, maybe try that, ive heard they can start hard if out of adjustment as well...

Is 111 the best top speed gps wise you have had,was that on perfect conditions.
