So, my wife and I have been wanting to go from the cool looking windshield to a warmer ride. (might be the real cold year this year causing me to make this decision) I talked to Kevin (Port Yamaha) yesterday and found there are three different size tall windshields. The stock windshield for 03 was 13 3/4" high. I do have the stock one however it does not seem to work anymore for us old folks. He said there is the tall 15 1/2" from the RS Venture, the xtra tall 17 1/2" and the double extra tall 18 3/4" high. I am thinking the 17 1/2" but wanted to see if anyone using these different sizes and what you recommend before laying out the $$$$ We are also going to the Venture mirrors to increase safety since hand guard spotter mirrors are not getting it anymore with our old eyes. (Does it ever suck hitting your late 50's) Please give me some feedback so I can pull the trigger on this order.

I know that on my wife's venture, I ended up having to put a bit shorter windshield on it. The bend at the top of the stock windshield was right in her line of sight (she is a bit of a munchkin, though).

Just make sure if you go with one of the really tall ones, they don't interfere with your vision.

On my warrior I have a set of Yamaha stock mirrors part no: 8CR-W2628-00-00

They tuck in the corners of the windshield. I like them really well. They don't have the bug antenna look that the venture mirrors do.

Bigger is better

Go with the Mega Tall and wide. it really worked for me in Canada last year when it was -40F. Protects your legs and hands.

So that does not look like any of the factory choices, where did you get it. Looks like it will do the trick. Do you have a P/N? Thanks Dan.

I installed the Extra Extra Tall Wide Windshield on my RX-Warrior for the colder months and I love it. It's not sexy but at -46 in the northern arctic it sure feels nice. The added width even keeps my hands warmer. I take it off once the temps rise to a more comfortable range. They don't list them for the RX-1 but the RS Venture
