I didn't know your an electronics engineer, Your just full of surprises Jim, keep up the good work.
WOW! Ted.. SOUNDS like your being Disrespectful again... well if you have to know a very well know EFI guy wrote the code, I built the picks ups, wiring harnes and we have been working on maps I have the exclusive on this package and will be for sale mid summer after some grass time. THIS system is geared for boosted racing apps... I will keep you updated.
Absoultely NOT, I don't know you, and I expect that if you say you have your own electronic stand alone fuel injection it is true.
Ted, did you know jim is the only one to date that has an apex ''EFI'' motor runningTed Jannetty said:onestopjim said:Ted Jannetty said:onestopjim said:we are building grass sled with our own standalone Fuel injection, ignition system our first race will be in NY july 20th and we HOPE to be the first sled to brake the into the threes on grass in 500 ft I will keep you all posted.

That stands to reason, the motors are essentially the same, and when anyone figures out what these motors want they will make the same or more power than the RX motors.
I have been programming fuel injection for almost 20 years now and in the last 10 years almost everything I tune is boosted one way or another.
Just having one computer do all the functions is nice, but the cost of converting from carbs to fuel injection may not be justified for a carburated guy, but this is definately the wave of the future since almost all the new sleds are fuel injected, 25 years too late but that's OK.
Congradulations Jim, you have shaken up the world of Snowmobile racing in a very positive way, Keep Up the Good Work.
Ted.

Spending a fair bit of time on the tar this summer, and building my Apex motor up for high boost. We're going to be working on an engine management project with FJO over the summer that we plan to test at the track as well.
Somewhere in there I've got to build 'my' engine. Racing Ironman Canada again end of August.

Hi there woodsrider, I can hear you. We have got at least a foot of fresh snow down at sealevel the last 3 days and even more in the mountains. Riding conditions are at it's best so far this season. We have 1 month left of riding until the trails are closing down.
What to do for the summer. If I can sell my '03 RX-1 turbo sled I will build a new turbo sled for next season upgrading my '08 Apex RTX. Of course I will go up in power LOL hahahaha, I'm addicted to boost

I'll be working on belt life and consistency in the RX1 dragster. Probably slow it up to 8.30's or so and leave the boost alone. That’s REALLY hard to do. At least then we can spend some time in the clutches. Adding water / methanol injection, which we should have done a long time ago. I'm just finishing off a 434 sbc and a glide for my little brothers dragster, and we've got junior dragsters for my kids and my nephew. I threw my 800 Ultra motor in my Doo/proline asphalt chassis. Built new pipes for it out of Crankshop stampings and planning a big load of n20. My good friend is racing in Comp this year and would like me to come along to help him, so I'll have to see if time allows that. I suspect I'll have seen more than enough tar by fall. I think I’m looking forward to the junior dragsters and time with my kids and wife more than any of the rest of it . Hopefully I can get in some water skiing in my spare time.
