Im thinking that the clutch is hiding alot of unused power. I think I might get a heal clicker clutch kit or something like that...

Thats blackjohn
Here is another set up that blackjohn gave me and very inexpensive with great gains: 8)
OSO spring, 14.5 mm rollers on the primary clutch
Silver spring @ 70 degree twist, with 5/16 lock washers to shim the helix on the secondary

I was thinking about going the $300+ for a heal clicker clutch setup but if I can save some $$$ and try one of your setups I think I might do that instead. $300 is alot of cash thats for sure.... Thats like 2 tanks of gas and enough drinks to get ya pretty drunk.

Bob Miller, I am going to try this setup tomorrow and I thought it was 80 degree on the secondary 2-6? Also, how much difference on the top end did you notice?

I have mine at 70, you can try different variations. I noticed a big gain on the top end and a big gain in accleration. RPM's came up to 10600 and I gained 13MPH on the DM.
I also installed SLP anti-wear pads.
I saw 123 MPH with this set up on my 04 Warrior, and next week I will be testing some other add ons when I go to Quebec

would being at 2-6 drop the rpms to around 10,200? i thought with stock airbox it was only supposed to hit 10,200. Did you try both settings Bob?Also, what did you used to hit on the dream meter?

Actually going to 80 degrees instead of 70 degrees will raise your RPMs a bit (maybe 100 RPM). I too use a setup very simialr to the Black John setup with a Dalton 54/42 Progressive helix. It works great.

If you've got an 03, the best $15 you can spend is on adding 4" of foam to your seat.

Ive been thinking of the same BUT everything i have read about the 4 strokes is that the power-band on these is pretty even through-out and a clutch kit alone with no other mods is a waist of $$$. Im all for get-er-done butt ??? A waist of money?
Hey z28 I just replied to your ?? about shimming your simmons. How do you like that new rear skid from Bender so far. Was it worth it? I have close to 2200 miles on mine 03 and was debating on doing an r@r this summer on my stock skid or just replacing it.
