I'm going external only because I am adapting a Xp tank and don't want to hassle with wiring my current 255lph in tank. Everyone still like the Walboro GSL392? Mounted on the steering gate above the clutch cover? I only need fuel injected lines AFTER the pump correct? ie I can feed it with low pressure line?

MSD 2225. It will pull the fuel but I still like to mount lower than the tank.

Good tip I thought I could mount it anywhere. Never got into the MSD stuff I will check it out. Thanks for the tip.

Ya I'm running an MSD pump on my Nytro. Otherwise a whalbro 255 would be my second choice.

Just a tip... I've finally compromised with myself and am switching to a fuel pump that is more sized for the current power that my setup is capable of running, instead of trying to run a higher flowing pump capable of 500+Hp "just in case" I might want to run big big boost later on.Well after I've killed two Bosch 044 pumps in as many seasons, finally figured out that these mega high flowing pumps need low low restriction on the supply side which is NOT what I was achieving by retaining the Apex OEM in-tank cloth filter pickup (approx 10 micron) . It's way too fine and restrictive for the flow rate 300LPH pumps have at base fuel pressure (43psi) and it was causing the pump to cavitate and eventually destroy itself.
Also it's recommended by the pump manufacturers that these pumps should probably run a 1/2" line and fittings on the feed side, as well, when I was running 3/8"...
In any case I'm downsizing to a Aeromotive 11109, similar to the MSD, so the supply side flow requiremnents are less. I'm eliminating the OEM in-tank pre-filter and going to the Walbro pickups (70 micron screen) and a 10 micron filter after the pump.

Thanks good points. Those 044 are not cheap!!!! My in tank walboro knock off 255 LPH is all my sled needs and been dead stock reliable so I am worried about introducing a external and screwing up something that has been so far proven OEM reliability. I'll go MSD/aeromotive if there is a good reason that it makes it a better pump then the external walboro 255lph.

Are you looking at going to a stand-alone external pump and eliminate the in-tank pump? That is what I did but I also had a weak in-tank pump that would quit working after it got warm...
Or are you looking at using the external in-line to suppliment the in-tank?
Most of the big pumps will only flow so much at higher pressures by themselves (self fed), but are rated to flow more at higher pressures if they are supplied by a lift pump (aka, in-tank). I think the MSD & Aeromotive 11109 are spec'd this way, will flow enough for boosted 375HP by themselves (higher fuel pressures 1:1) but are capable of up to 1.5X more when used in conjunction with a supply / lift pump.

Came with my Impulse kit, that's why I'm running it. And with a surge tank, the stock pump just feeds the smaller 3/4 gallon tank.. no issues with fuel here.

Looking to go for external with no internal pump anymore or maybe it's easier to just retrofit my current in tank into the new ski Doo tank?
My pump feeds the sled well and I don't want to screw up a good thing if externals are a pain in the azz
