What's this about Xenon headlights?

The stock wattage on an H4 Hologen, which is what is in our sled from the factory, is 55watts low beam, 65 watts high beam. The wattage of a sylvania silverstar is exactly the same, the difference is how much whiter the bulb is, and the color temperature, it creates more lumens which create better visibility, more crisp, not as dull. If you put in higher wattage bulbs you risk melting you wiring harness and possibly the light housing. Just be careful. Thats why I went with the silverstars. PIAA also makes a high performance bulb like the silverstars but I havent seen those in action.

Peace!

The wattage should be listed on the side of the bulb itself (metal base).
I can also tell you guys this about the Silverstars. Because the price on ebay was half what Wal-mart wanted I bought a set for my Truck, motorhome and Warrior. In the truck I already had a set of 85/100 watt bulbs. Not sure the manufacturer but I can tell you the Silverstars are whiter and brighter and they are the standard 55/65 watt bulbs. I also noticed on the package that they were made in Germany. Quality built for sure ;)!
