What's up with Yamaha Acessories?

I drove to Novi, Michigan hoping to buy accessories from Yamaha dealers at the sled show for my Attak. They were p*ssed. No accessories to sell. Went to the Yamaha booth and they admitted Yami dropped the ball. Hundreds, if not thousands, per sled that wasn't bought.
Saw some aftermarket chrome hand protectors in the Nov. issue of one of the sled mags, gonna buy them. Same for bags... going aftermarket.

I understand your frusteration, been there. The problem is the accessories are made by other companies for Yamaha. These other companies generally carry their own line & make special order items for Yamaha at Yamaha's specifications.

First they make their own product lines, then they make Yamaha's. Sometimes they will make production runs of both, but not normally. They cover their own products first. If there are any material supply issues, it will slow the entire process. We in the end get stuff later than we would like.

Yamaha makes agreements with good supply dates & deadlines. Bottomline, humans are involved. Did you ever notice that Yamaha changes suppliers on certain items every few years? Yamaha doesn't want these issues, so the only way is to try different companies.

i can't understand it. in previous years yamaha is the 1st out with their full accessories catalog. this year i'm catchin crap from my arctic cat friend that said "i got mine months ago from arctic cat, where is yours from yamaha?" c'mon yamaha ground breaking sleds but no accessories for them
