Where can I get this special tool?

look up midwest wheel on the net and call the Davenport store. They have them. Maxdlx

micro bel-mont has just what you need, i think thats how you spell it, think they are in mich, i got 3 of them last fall, comes with a tool to go onto the sec clutch end also, works great, used the dealers when i needed to take mine apart, but a pain being 35miles way, not a bad price either, alot less than the yami one, that somebody makes for them

I used a crescent wrench. The pita is trying to hold the shaft from spinning when go to remove/tighten the nut.

Used a crow bar in the secondary helix with the other end up against the primary to keep it from spinning.

go to your yamaha Dealer and have him you order tool #YS-01490 from K& L Supply Co @ 1-800-708-3184 I thing I paid like $20.00

From what I was told that tool is used for removing a nut on the rear axle of a VW. My neighbor let me use it for changing out the top gear of my Apex. My neighbor is a big VW fan. I told him to pick me up one of those when he got the chance. The next day he showed up with one for me. I think I paid $10. Look at a store near you that deals in VW parts. I found the part on the net listed below.

You can likely get that from your local yellow pages....just look for VW salvage yards, or specialty shops...they'll have a line on them for sure!

I used my Jeep's axle nut tool!(36mm) It's a BIG deep well socket. Advance Auto, or a local parts store will carry it. It was less than $20. The only thing you will need is a 1/2" drive impact gun/ratchet and your in like flinn!!!

Just bought one at Sears its a 1-7/16 wrench it was like $32, but found one at Tractor Supply for $10 after the fact. That nut your going to screw up by using the Crestent wrench is like $8.00 so it works out to buy the wrench!
