Where is the best place to drain coolant from?

Which hose should I pull and what is the best method for bleeding? How do I know its all bled out? I want to cut my coolant so its not 100%

I would disconnect one of the lower hoses at the footwell and run water from a tap through until it comes out clear, then tip the sled from to back, side to side to drain out all the water you can, and use compressed air to blow out the rest. Flush it well then top up with mixed, checking as you go to make sure you hit the correct temp.

Good idea's, I heard this a few weeks back, from a Doo Mechanic, That when you are all finish flushing your system and have it filled up, Prop up the front end before starting ( either on a snow bank or trailer or hoist) start the engine and let it idle and it gets out all the air bubbles as well, Never tried this but just my 2 cents, maybe it is only for doo's though

I'm confused....................... I thought you put the back-end up.. I think there is a spot on the back crossover pipe with a threaded plug to bleed it there?????????????????? It's time for a good wrench turner to help us get to the bottom of this one... ;)! MM.

Either way works...just as long as you have a high point in the system, The front end method works well even on trails...do a search on overheating. I posted this a while back and it cured my overheat problems.

Yes there is a place in the rear, there's a bleed screw on the crossover pipe that connects both heat exchangers.

MXD why do ya need to drain it, older sled or what????? 100% antifreeze, if thats the case the dealer should replace

100% new sled with 100% coolant. With my work schedule, its more aggrivation than its worth to try to get it to the dealer before this weekend.

So I'll drain it from the lowest point, tilt my trailer, fill it, and let it get up to temperature with the cap off, top it off and I'm good to go?

I pulled the Plastic cover off the back of my sled that covers the drain plug. Then I pulled the hose off the cross over pipe on the throttle side of the sled. The sled was on a lift. then I lifter the front end of the sled so the coolant could flow from the front to the back. I got well over a gallon of fluid out.

Has any one confirmed that the 06 sleds are being shipped with 100% anti freeze?
I have yet to read where someone tested theirs and didn't find 100% Anti Freeze.............................

I just ghecked my coolant & all is well for freezing point as well as acidity. Be very carefull as hi acidity levels will erode your aluminum components it comes in contact with.
