Does anyone have a picture of the sidewinder grill vs the cat grill? Does it make much of a difference with ice build up? How hard is it to swap out?

I'm running the Cat grill on mine now. One screw swap out. Make sure to take out the inner Yamaha one too. Cat one is supposed to be much better at snow buildup.
If needed, I have screen ready to go over it along with frogskinz material too if the screen doesn't work. You want to make sure you have as much flow going thru as possible and frogskinz really limits flow.

Frogskin IMO defeats the purpose....they dont flow nearly as well as no screen. Are you running frog skins or anything else with the cat grill?
The cat grill does well to not hold snow already....Frogskin will just hold snow IMO.
No, just the Cat grill. Are you running frog skins or anything else with the cat grill?

View attachment 135584 Ran 130 miles yesterday purposely following a Freeride closely in very powdery conditions. Worked much better than stock but still had some build up. At least it didn’t plug.
The question is why were you following a FreeRide???

He was leading the group. Just cruising and I wanted to test how that grill would work. The stock grill was about 90% plugged in similar conditions. The question is why were you following a FreeRide???
