Wish I could tell you exactly what's wrong. For one reason or another, your mask is not sealing properly on your face. You should not be fogging at all. Do you wear a balaclava? If so, try riding without one. The mask needs to make a tight seal on your face. Baliclavas, or even heavy facial hair can screw this up. Baliclavas can also cause your head to overheat. Are you riding harder when following other riders trying to keep up with the leader?

i dont have facial hair i shave everyday. I have just a skidoo mask i steel need to get a balaclava but i keep it pulled down so its not on my chin or over my mouth. I dont ride any harder following people if ne thing i ride harder leading.

Same issue here, I can feel the snow dust hitting my cheeks. It used to seal better then this and i thought I heard a long time ago that there is a seal that goes on the lip that the visor clips into that may need to be replaced I am looking into this.
I swear though if I held my breath I didn't feel any dust on the cheeks, once breathing again it was back instantly so I am thinking its getting in from the nose peice vent valves that are supposed to be one way (suck air out of helmet but dont let air into helmet). I cam going to check over those valves and see if any are damaged. they are the little rubber flaps on the nose peice under the peace looking sign on each side.

Check the exhaust rubber valve in the front of the mouthpiece. The helmet comes with two different ones. One has three holes in it besides the center mounting hole and the other is solid without the three holes. the instructions say to use the solid one below 10° F I believe. If you have the vented (3 hole) one installed it could be letting in snow dust. Most people just run with the solid one all the time.

I bought a new one with the no holes and it does the same thing

I don't like mine at all......it is very rarely I can go out with it anywhere and the vents on the nose peice leak and fog the mask right where the vents are......I make sure everytime that I don't have the mask to tight to my face and still no dice. I have had it for 2 years and no good resaults here. If you don't like open face helmet with goggles then I feel the only other way is heated sheild. (I hate those cords....lol) Got the 509 gear and love it.

Mine was doing the exact same thing. With the helmet off, close the shield and see if it seals properly right in the middle, with mine there was a very small gap between the shield and the rubber channel. All I did to fix this problem was take some weather stripping (approx 5cm long & 3-4mm wide) and put it in the rubber channel so it would make a better seal with the mask.
This weekend I rode about 450km in all kinds of conditions and I finally worked perfectly!!!! This is my first winter with this helmet and at first I was not impressed at all because of the fogging on the inside. I think I have it solved now but I did talk to my dealer yesterday and they said that they would send it back for a new mask.....almost $600 says I shouldn't have to modify a helmet to make it work right!!!

It must be a leak around the shield. The only time I notice that is when I didnt close the shield properly. It needs a good slam to lock it down and seal properly, you can hear it sort of click when sealed.

I have been wearing one for 3 yrs and 90% of the time it is fog free. I just put an electric on it for the 10% . I do have a full beard. One thing I do is check in my mirrors to make sure i can see my breath coming out of the front where it is made to come from. If I don't I readjust until it does. Most of my group wear them with only 1 person has any isuse.

Did you look to see if there is a gap when you close the shield?? If there is screwing around with the breathing mask will make no difference.

I have the SRX stock windshield and mostly do high speed run on the river. So my BV2S was a must and I love it. Especially the integrated sun visor. Last time it was -24C during the day and I was warm as I can be.
