Who has a bv2s?

I have one that I wear on super cold days or when I know I'm going to be doing a lot of sit-down long-haul riding. I have never had any problems with mine either, and I have facial hair. I would have to agree with what others are saying about the outer shield not sealing for some reason. It does take a pretty good push to get mine locked. Also, if for some reason one of the little flappers above your nose were to stick open, you would be blowing hot breath into the helmet which would also tend to ice quickly if it was really cold out. Based on getting snow into the helmet though, I think it's the seal on the shield.

Check the yellow face mask material; found a split in mine over the bridge of the nose.

I tried one this year and could not make it stop icing up inside the shield. It would start at the extreme right and left, then work in toward the center until I couldn't see. Yes, I watched the instruction video and tried many adjustments of the breath mask. The shield seemed to seal well against the helmet. I tried it with and without the exhale valve in place. I blamed my short beard, although others have good results regardless of their beards. I decided to cut my losses and sold it while it was still like new. I've spent too many winters messing around with various "fog free" helmets and this was my last attempt to find one that didn't require an electric shield. Now that electric shield cord doesn't seem so bad after all.

when i first got my BV2S i would get snow on the inside of the shield all the time, but another guy who rides with me had the same helmet only a couple years older and he had no problems. upon further investigation of both helmets it seems as though they changed the seal that goes around the top of the shield and they left a couple inch gap on each side for the snow to enter. I solved the problem by cutting some sections out of a nerf dart and gluing them in the gap. It worked like a charm i haven't had any trouble since.

I have one and have found, for me, this helmet is a cold weather helmet only... it has no vents and tends to get very warm inside... if you leave the shield up even a tiny bit for any length of time, the thing foggs up since your breath is driven right inside the helmet... that chin strap and the velcroed neck flap too is awkward... (can't seem to get the helmet off in a hurry when I need to)... on the plus side... that sun visor is to die for...

I have one, I also bought the electric shield. Fogging is minimal but when really cold it will fog a bit sometimes. Its a very warm helmet and thats an understatement.

Best helmet that I have ever owned.
