Your going to hate it. Too much power, too easy to drive, lack of maintenance.
Snowmobiling gets REALLY boring when all you do is turn the key.
Better sell it and get something to keep you busy rather then riding this winter.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

It will be the best sled you've ever driven, fast, smooth and comfortable. i have a 2011 xtx and haven't stop smiling since first ride, heard the 2012s are even better.
Enjoy . . . . . . . . . and hold on!

You will love it, give it about 1000 miles to open up. On top speed you will have to mod it a bit to see what you were getting with the Mach Z.(Very fast toy)
But you will be able to hold it open for miles with blowing a motor.

thanks for the responses guy, the mach was a fast sled with 8800 kms on it and no engine problems (yet) but youre right you are always fixing something on it! I cant wait to pick up my sled whenever it arrives!

The torque will blow you away, but you won't get the same top speed as the Mach Z.
You may want to keep some cash ready for some skis and sliders, as Yammys do need them imo.

Agree with all the above. Really, only issue that may need to be delt with is fast hyfax wear......unless the 2012 has changes from 2011. Some wheel changes, or the new style hyfax should help in that area. Enjoy your new ride.

i'm pretty confused why a $16,500 cdn sled would need new skis, why would they not fix this problem since that seems to be the one of the only problems with these sleds? I plan to try it out first and see what i think.

Follow your own advice! Just ride it, you'll be fine. You probably won't have to change a thing. For us average trail riders, the sled's are pretty much "ride out of the box". I guarantee your sled will turn in the direction you point the skis; stock!

There are not many sure things in life these days but your choice is one of them...... (sure thing)Report back to us after ya put a little time in on it. I think I know you will be happy! I bought my 07 apex rtx new as my first 4-stroke and my first yamaha and I have NO reason to replace it yet or in years to come. Infact it has been the best investment in my 35yrs of sleding I have ever made. Infact it "gives" back by being so reliable and lasting long along with lower cost of operation and the fun factor it offers.
