Will new Motor and Ligher chassis close the 2 stroke gap?

Well I don't know your experiences. However like I said I raced several Rev 800's. Not one pulled me out of the hole and not one pass me. They were only slightly faster than Pol 800's. These were all 1000' races.

If I were making it up I'd say the Pol 800 beat me or something because I absolutely can't stand Cat. Unfortunately the 03 F-7 was the only thing that beat me on the resovoir this year.

Mine is studded (96 in the middle), and clutched. On good hard pack I can stand it up on it's tail with the right weight transfer. Now I agree with you that the Apex ride is 100% better. However I did not often get beat on the RX and when I did it was by modded sleds.

Yes, from all of the magazine editors that I have spoke to said the new Apex motor will run/beat most of the big 2 strokes with no problem.
