It looks like Woody's doesn't use the taller "Big" nuts until you go to 1.575. Per their site:

1.325" and 1.450" come with Big Nut Short (ALN2-4500). 1.575" and 1.740" come with Big Nut Long (ALN2-7000).

You guys think that is fine... or go with their "Big Nut Long" even on on the 1.450?

I have 1.450s and it came with nuts not the super tall ones but work well no issues

1.45" in my ltx .I tried using the 1/2" alumn nuts but the studs would bend .Switched to the tall nuts ,no more bent studs .

1.450 come with their medium "tall nut" (left) ....Not the normal short style(right)

tallest ones will help prevent bending.

X2 on what Dan said. I'm pretty sure the manufacturers call them 1/2".

Guys, have an 18 RTX LE 50th on order, how many studs do you all recommend?? It's a 129" track.

Have 144 1.325" studs in my Apex GT, and she is a 121 inch track, with a 1.25 inch lug..and that worked great..havent lost one in 6300 miles.

Should I go the next size up- 1.450" on the Sidewinder? And how many do you think is adequate for a 129" track?? Was familiar with the common amounts on the 121 inchers (96, 120, 144, 192), but feel kind of lost now with these newer longer track lengths???? Don't want too many? Or too little either?? Looking for the happy medium!! Let me know what you all think?

Thanks so much!

the tallest nuts, I believe might be too tall for them, and why they come with the medium.

tall nuts are too tall even for the Stud boy 1.5"
as the nylock doesn't get to enough threads and will loosen , and some of the studs came out and speared thru the track . I wouldn't believe it was possible to have a stud go thru the track in a spot where there was no hole drilled , if it didn't happen to me.lost about a dozen studs and had to switch to the medium nut .
I was lucky there wasn't more damage , as it only chewed up a bogie wheel a little .

Well that is good to know. I'll go with what they recommend. Thanks for all the replies!
