Those are AC skid plates. the orange skid plate fits just fine but it does cover up the lower LE graphics so I did trim it toward the front and back to give more a factory look. I can post a picture of where is trimmed it if you like. Honestly most people would never notice the graphic covered a little bit but I loose sleep on stuff like that so I timed it ,lol.

Its a Fox 3 on my XTX LE rear skidQuick question. The Canada brocure shows the rear skid on the blue/ orange with fox float 3's. Is this true? My book says 2's.

3's on the front also. I know alot of guys change them or re-valve them but I think it depends on where and how you ride to. We had the Fox 2 on the phazers and I think they worked great for boondocking in the back country , once you have you air pressure figured out I just forget about them and ride. I would just checked the air maybe once or twice a year but they never would change.

That's good to here.
It seems like the bulk of what you read on here is doom and gloom about the shocks on these sleds.
I think its a little bit rich as tho first when the floats came out everyone thought they were like the second coming of Jesus. Now that the novelty has worn off they're complaining.
I guess I shouldn't say too much as I have never owned a sled with floats and may be cursing them when I get few miles on them.

I really like the floats, but did not at first. The floats set up correctly for me are set at what you would think is very soft. But even set soft they resist bottoming out. Biggest thing I have seen in person is guys setting floats WAY to stiff and then of course they work like crap.

I'm not a particularly aggressive rider so might get away with setting the pressure lower. Hopefully that will make a good ride for me.
Do you mind telling your pressures?
Curious to know where to start.
I'm 220 w/o gear

65 front
110 to 120 rear
set front skid shock to whatever feels right to you as far as how light you want the front end.
Both ours ride like a big ole couch in the big bumps as compared to Apex or RX1, in my opinion.

Thats pretty close to the air pressure I ran in the phazer ,now for the new Vipers they are a bit heaver but I used the same PSI starting point and then just add air or remove but only few PSI at a time and keep track of it also. I know after a few rides I will have it dialed in and then wont need to mess with it. Don't worry about adding extra air also because of the air you hear leaking when removing the pump its the air pressure from the pump and hose leaking out, not the shock. The valve on the shock closes before you hear the air leaking so the PSI you set is what you have in the shock.

Thanks Maas for looking the part number up. Yes, that's the skid plate I used but I got it a bit cheaper directly from the A.C. dealer.

I've picked one up completely by the front only with a front end loader - that's not saying it's the strongest thing out there but it isn't as weak as it looks like.Never saw single loop stock one ripped off but lifting on it moves it alot so probably a good idea to get something stronger.
