Thinking of pulling the trigger on a 2011 and would like some feedback on which would be better suited for me. I am 280 lbs w/o gear so probably 300 with, drive semi agressive on groomed trails. The base model is out since I know it will not handle my weight w/o a revalve. Leaning towards the SE . . . . . ?
Thanks for any input in advance!

Rode both last year briefly at demo ride. The XTX is awesome longtrack is much more comfy and will turn fine with XTX rails. I posted this elsewhere too, someone else was asking same question. search and i bet you find!

Get the standard.. It rides way better then the SE and it can handle the weight... I talked to 2 magazine editors... Supertax and Snowtech and they both said the same... It shouldn't be better, but it is....

The XTX will ride a lot nicer and you will like it more. With the longer track you will get a lot better hookup to the point of not needing studs. I made my 06 121" a 144" two years ago and will never go back.

Met a guy and his son on trail today with 144 and he was just gushing with joy. I mean he loved the XTX tide and handling

I just sold my Nytro XTX.... I'm not sure I would buy another track that long for trail riding. If you did 50/50 on and off trail, then yes... But if you are a trail cruiser, get the shorty... But, one thing I can say, if you are a drag racer the XTX hooks hard out of the hole....
so that means your ski doo is a short track andy?

I owned three Apex's before the XTX,all 121's.The handling and stabilaty in the chop at high speeds is awesome.Traction without studs for trail riding is real good.Ran 114 gps on a packed snow rail bed so far.I think the skid would handle your weght with no problem. At 210 lbs mine is set at the soft setting, both the sping and the clicker. At 800 miles it is the best all around Yamaha I have owned.Tom
