I'm looking to see what other non-turbo XTXs are seeing for a top speed. I have not added anything to mine and I am only seeing low 80's with mine. I have heard that at about 1000mi these motors will open up a bit, but I am interested in seeing what others are seeing. I have the suspension dialed in, I just need to pull up the limiter straps, and I am adding a forth wheel kit next week which should help some.
I would like to see mid-90s without adding a turbo or anything too crazy $$$ wise to get there. Is that possible?

NOS what mods if any have you done to yours? Did you see a difference after XX miles? I know that you did some clutch work and a different belt but was there anything else?

1,600 miles and I have been trying differernt helix's and secondary springs since 500miles. I would have to say, yes....once it hit 750 miles, it started better, ran smoother and performed better.
My clutching is:
Primary spring - stock
Primary weights - lightened in the tip 2 grams from stock
Secondary - 47/40 helix and pink spring set at 3-3
Using 8DN belt with 2 shims on each of the 3 bolts on the backside of the secondary.

Other than sucking down the limiter strap and playing with shock pressure, I'm still running stock skis with stock carbide and no studs

I think I am just over the 800mi mark with mine and she pretty much tops out at 82mph. I need to pull the straps in tonight then we are headed to Iron River, WI tomorrow to see how much that helps. I have a feeling that some clutch work and a 8DN will be in my future if I want to see the mid-90s.
I am turboed with over drive sheaves and a new motor. I could barely hit 103 before it blew up with the new block, carillo rods and low compression pistons I hit 107 2 time on Monday and had A LOT MORE TO GO

XTX 550 miles.
The sled seems to be making more power. Monday on some of the more open southern VT trails I held it to the wood to see what numbers it would do and observed 8300rpm most of the time and noted a max of 8,600.
Speed I saw 78 to 82 and a max of 85.
All stock. No studs.

XTX SE........bone stock......no studs.......1482 miles.........semi-hard packed trail across lake.........I've seen 95 on the speedo......gps read 94.3........around 8700 rpm.........ran out of room on the lake. She seemed to climb slower in speed after 85mph but at 95 she was plenty fast enough with that tiny windshield !!
I'm hoping to see triple digits under the right conditions in the next couple hundred miles. 0 to 70 you better hold on tight !!!!
