What do you guys think about the YES program offered from yamaha? I am considering the 48 month plan which would give me a total of 5 years of warranty. I do plan on keeping the sled that long.

The dealer quoted me $800 is this a fixed price or is it negotiable?

Search on here for Port Yamaha, they are a advertiser here. They have great prices. Thats where I purchased mine..............

I saw a form recently and dealer cost is half of list. I'd negotiate and shop around.

I paid 500 I also have a 05 rx1 the motor went on it and I have no waranty on it. If I had a 5 yr on it it would have been coverd. BY it but you should get it for 500

What does it really even cover? I was reading the small print and could find anything that it did cover. Then when you do have a problem they (yamaha) will say something like, "Ah you must of ran the wrong oil in it and that locked up your steering?" WTF? Or you studded your track and that caused your seat cousion to have an extra load on it and you will not be covered. Were sorry that is the best we can do, that will cost you $1500

Anyway it seems like they are always trying something to void your warranty.

You do not need to use Yamalube in order to be covered. Any oil the meets the minimum specification set forth by Yamaha can not be denied coverage for oil related engine failure.

Yamaha warranty is a joke for sure! Every claim I've had has not been covered, Never seen that before, looks like it's been jumped and ridden to hard ect. ect. I did get new ball joints big deal! I thought I had a 3 year bumper to bumper warranty NOT.

Coming from ski-doo every thing was covered under warranty, bearings, wheels, clutches, motors, belts.

The only thing the warranty is good for is tricking someone when its time to sell

WOW! How much are they paying you? Or do you just bleed yellow?

First off, no one waranty's belts, so go BS some other people. Cause no ones buying this story.

I've had good waranty coverage the entire time. Anything after the first year is pretty much motor only. Thats acceptable, they don't know how people ride these things.

I left ski-doo because of all the troubles at least one motor a season I couldn't afford to ride it out of warranty, so I went to yamaha no motors but the front and rear suspension was wiped out nothing was covered I had to fix and pay out of pocket. The rear skid is weak I pressed every part back and reinforced. I blew a front track shock they wanted me to sent the part in to inspect it, could take up to to weeks in the middle of the season. I paid to have it fixed. I watched the video they sent before I sno ck. the sled, I thought It was a snocross sled? Didn't think I could hurt It on the trails. (RTX) what gives? I do love the sled / just think yamaha left me hanging. P.S. I did get belts from ski-doo and anything else I needed to get back on the trail. I wish yamaha would stand behind their product and not blame it on the consumer. just my 2cents

You don't ride hard, huh? Wow, you've had some major sled problems. I've been riding sleds for 35 years, blown one engine in all that time. I have had everything I ever had a problem with taken care of by Yamaha, but they don't cover belts, hoses, that kind of thing, I don't think anybody does that. You need to buy a M1a1 tank, and make sure you get the extended warranty!!!!! Wig

Are you serious?? Do you ride on rock river beds with no snow? You bent rear skid components? And claim the rear skid is weak?? I think your best bet is to avoid some of the stuff you must be running through, cause what your claiming is unreal from both the skidoo side and the yamaha side. Or get a abrams tank.

I second the Warranty Price! I have a friend that is a Yamaha dealer and he said they are marked up by about 50% so put on your game face and beat those salesman up.
