This isn't going to be much help but I just replaced my flap and used Yamaha rivets, they weren't cheap ($1 and change per I believe!)
When I changed mine (used a Dremel tool with grinder implement) I noticed that the flat washers were not included with the kit, so be sure to keep those.
I also mounted mine up backwards so I didn't have to remove the bumper to get the rivet gun in there, it worked pretty good doing it that way.

When I replaced mine I just used small bolts and locknuts instead. I couldn't find the large headed rivets locally and I had the bolts and locknuts in my tool box.

good info guys... I actually am talking about the plate that rivets to the tunnel and that the flap ties onto. I just wanted to check before getting into putting it back on. I have used the bolts with lock nuts on the flap part and that works great!

Yamaha obviously does not make rivets. Over the years they have spec'ed over 100 different rivets on their sleds. However, one of the most common rivets used by Yamaha was the Avdel Stavex rivet in a few sizes. Avdel (Aviaton Developments) a leader in aircraft riveting development was merged with Cherry, bought by Textron, and ultimately sold to Platinum Equity. Somehow the Infastech name fits in there somewhere. However, the Avdel Brand is still used.
The ones you replaced were likely large head Stavex rivets in Black.

There are several guys on TY (including myself) that buy several different rivets sizes in large volumes. We can resell smaller quantities at much cheaper prices than the ones packaged by Yamaha. Personally, I don't make a profit on the ones I sell, I just do it to help others out.

OFT racing stocks the same type rivets that Yamaha will, sell you. OFTs are much more affordable though.
I just bought a bag of 'em last week.

Mc Master Carr, they have any rivet you can think of. I bought a bunch of these same rivets last year and they were about 1/4 of the price of Yami's.
