YAMAHA SHAFTS CANADIANS AGAIN

picking up my 2011 xtx Monday morning from the states. Saving over 2300 buying it there.

I feel bad for my local dealers, but I'm not willing to pay over 20% premium to support them.

My SkiDoo dealer treats me better than my Yamaha deal which is great, 135MM wheel, Pilot skis and RSI warmers. Good deal.. Yamaha dealer is a bit slow catching on...

O no you bought that sled in the US, we don't want your money....DAAAA.....

Got my nytro from the USA saved over $6000k. Plus the US gave me a 5 year warranty. In Canada I got 2 year

Plus my local dealer is the biggest f&ucken asshole in the world.

Did you save mainly because of the difference in the dollar which is now the same or was the MSRP lower in Canada?

This is interesting. I was chatting with my local dealers parts girl and her cost on the Nytro subframe is over $600. I'm sure most of us are aware the Canadian MSRP is $828 ish and that Port yamaha has them for right around $500. How is it that Port can sell these for less than our dealers can buy them??? That is f'ed up.

Another example goes the other way....Nytro spindle bushings (the bi-metal ones for the ski) are ~$3.50 CAN and ~$5.50 US each. Just Weird.

I just got subframe and it was $900 cnd and i got is us for $410 plus the shipping.Same as brp i would always get my oil in the us when my dad went down cause you saved big.I could buy 3 jugs in us for the price of 2 here...stupid...

And all this time, I thought just the optional heat exchanger kit for the XTX was the only item cheaper in Canada. It was 196. Can compared to 350 or so in the US.

Canadian dealers better wake up soon, and let there corporate bosses know what is going on. It is not the dealers, the companies set the prices for the Canadian dealers.

I just imported both of my Yamaha's from the US, saved about 5 grand total for 2 sleds.

I did a cost comparison last fall for a rebuild on my ZR 900 the savings for the same parts in the US were just over $300.

tough times.....wonder how many at YMC had to deal with cut backs. !.....they have had huge currency pick up these last few years. They deserve what they get, i feel bad for the dealers. To bad YMC doesn't.

Sometimes the Canadian dealers can price match their US counterparts (pardon the pun). I priced a rear seat for my sled at $265US with shipping included. My dealer was able to price match that even though the regular price was $295CDN. And this was before the dollar went to parity. And I've bought enough parts from them that they give me the discounted price on everything.
