You got to keep in mind with a 250ish hp sled no way is that cat going to hook up compared to a 190ish hp sled without chisels in a 400 ft run that's a no brainer the 190ish sled is putting all the power to the ground and the 250ish is just blowing the track outI rode with an xf turbo the other day for a bit. It had exhaust and a flash, claimed 250ish hp, traded off some too and I will say the cat had more power than mine at 6 pounds, but it didn't have the quickness or the instant pull of the viper from what I could tell. We touched them off a couple times quick and same thing, dead even til 90 mph then had to let off and brake hard. That's only in like 400 feet tho so not much of a race, but a stock 800 wouldn't have been close at all

Yes you're right, but the thing with the cat is that compared to the viper it had a lot more lag, viper has none, so it takes a bit to build, and the cat is heavier so takes more power to get it up and running. It had some legs, no doubt it would've walked away on top end, but the quickness wasn't anything that represented 250hp. In reality, both sleds are amazing machines! The cat was an xf 141" and it really hooked hard in my opinion! Much better than a stock setup 137" viper

The XTX 141" does load and launch much better than the 137" LTX. Last season when both Ymahatim & I were both at 6#'s we did a couple informal runs on loose snow on the flowage and I would always pull him out of the hole once we were going his would maintain and he had a 1.6 ice ripper track to my 1.6" camo. The LTX sets flatter and has a tendancy to spin the track at launch. Even with the hygear coupler it does not tie the front to the back till the skis go about 12" of the ground.
When I ran the 2 Cats last yr they were both 141" with flashes and work done to them and even at only 190 hp I would walk them from the line. We never ran 600 ft or they would then freight trained me. Since then I am at 12#'s and gained probably 12 mph to my top end with machining and clutching so I worry less about them catching me on the top end.

Stock 137" shock and spring settings don't hook up good, mine now with revalved shocks and softer torsion springs hooks up like crazy and really launches hard, took some clutch tuning and fuel tuning on the gems but it is a fast sled that has a lot of quickness yet to boot

Well as long as you know how to push the flipper a 600 will not be in the same zip code in 100 ft!!!!

The viper in that video was mine at 4.5 pounds of boost and it was the second day out doing clutch tuning, sled was only turning 8000 rpm that day and it would still go past the riot kit at the other end of the field. Hopefully the next time we're out playing they'll video it again

Here is a bad video of mine against my Pro S 800 SB. I only was at 9 #'s and let off after he dissapeared from my view. It was way worse than it looks due to my friend being afraid to stand too close while taking video
