I am not sure how the yamaheaters with thumb boost work, but I know they do. My visor just does not seem to get enough voltage to work.Could I connect them into the yamaheaters somewhere to give them extra power?

Connect your heated shield wires direct to the battery with an inline fuse. That will give you 12v all the time. And since you take your helmet in at night you wont drain the battery. Shane

What size of fuse?
I believe mine has a 2 amp fuse.
